HEALTHY EATING

No, life is not fair. Who knew you have to eat something healthy more than once to get in shape. I wish everything was as easy as getting fat. At my age I enjoy long romantic walks to the refrigerator instead of the beach. I’m being good this week and have been eating lovely salads for lunch with our sweet homegrown tomatoes. Homegrown tomatoes are one of the best things about summer, we take them for granted until we are stuck with tasteless winter hothouse tomatoes. I really do try to eat healthy and once I make up my mind and set a day to start, I do fine. It’s the second day that I start to waffle. Well, waffle and bacon if you get my drift. I use to eat a lot of ‘natural’ foods but I kept hearing people can die of ‘natural’ causes and I didn’t think it was worth the risk and I’ve never heard of anyone who died from eating a Twinkie. Of course you have to include some exercise in the healthy eating plan. My exercise plan is a cross between a lunge and a crunch or as I like to call it, lunch. I think being a human makes it a bit harder to get on a good eating plan. If you were a Beaver and you were hungry, you could just eat a part of your house. Zero calories and no fat. Food is essential of course and we have to be taught how to handle the over abundance of it. Like that age old saying: Give a man a fish and he’ll have food for a day, but teach a man to fish and he’ll spend all day at the lake drinking beer. You just can’t win. ❤️Ro
